Intel Processor

Any suggestions? I’m poor so nothing too expensive, just something that’s cheaper but can usually get 60fps on a gmod server. 😛

I use the pentium for the GTX 1050 combo and I average around 150 FPS on the server.

If you don't have alot of money go full AMD, i built my PC in 2013 and its still running all games on high graphics and it only cost me a total of $990 ish

Everyone says they overheat but that just proves that they've never had an AMD product because ive never had a single problem

Why are you asking for us to suggest you a CPU? not all CPUs are compatible with all systems, you need a specific chipset for each CPU.

What chipset is your motherboard?

Word up, thanks for giving me an excuse to be on pcpartpicker. Tell me if you built your computer or you bought it pre built so i can make a list on pcpartpicker on what you should get.

im going to build it around the cpu.

haven't gotten anything else yet, just looking for a cheap solid CPU.

Always start with a motherboard when building.

What he said.

Motherboards are ridiculously overpriced, and you can find some AMD motherboards for half the price as Intel's.

Personally, I would look into G4560 and h110m motherboard, you would likely find both for less than $100.

The G4560 will allow you to play just about anything at near max settings, assuming you have a beefy enough GPU for the task.

I have the i5 7600k with a gtx 1060. This is way too overkill for gmod. You'll be better off with the new ryzen processors with vega graphics if you're looking for cheap.

This is probably off topic, but is in the same mood. Is a GTX 970 “outdated” yet?

I run on an i3 2.3gHz and it's complete dog shit. Get and i5 or better, 3.3gHz at mininum, and it should at least be quad core as well.

Depends on your definition of outdated. It can almost only be acquired used (the rare new ones are expensive). From the right seller, it can be cheaper than a 1060-6GB, albeit a bit slower.
